Server is back online.

The problem was caused by a file system error, causing /home to mount read-only - probably as a result of the hard reboots last few days - that has been corrected and all partitions are mounted rw now.

Running fsck on /home at present.. all services have been stopped until this is complete and the partition can be mounted again.

Just wondering if there is any explanation about why the new server would have file system problems??

Almost certainly to do with the hard resets caused by the pdu provisioning this week. Everything is all fine now though.

Aah. That makes sense. I had already forgotten about those two micro outages.
