Default Pluto Migration to new Shadow server

As part of our ongoing Dotable server colocation consolidation process, we are migrating all clients on Pluto server, to a brand spanking new server called Shadow, racked in our new colo facility in LA. This new facility has better bandwidth providers, is better staffed and is a nice upgrade from the current colo. We will be starting this migration in the next 48 to 72 hours.

Shadow server specs are as follows -

Dual Core Dual AMD Opteron (4 x 2.6ghz)
8GB DDR2 ECC RAM
4x250GB SCSI Drives in RAID 10

Test IP - 66.63.184.9

We were going to call it the "Beast" server.

If you use personalised nameservers, then we will be emailing you details of your new nameserver IPs, to update at your domain register for your main WHM domain.

If you don't use personalised nameservers, then you don't need to do anything, as your nameservers will stay the same, as we are porting those nameservers over to the new shadow server.

There will be no downtime involved with this migration, as we will be NAT forwarding the old IPs over to the new server, while you make your nameserver IP changes.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or a drop a ticket into the Dotable helpdesk.

Are you combining voyager and pluto together into this new server?

Specs look good, wish I could have a spec like this at home

What do you mean by Personalized Nameservers? On my domain hosting account I point my domains to ns11.dotcolo.com and ns12.dotcolo.com

Are they going to change?

Then you will not have to make any changes, we'll handle everything

Yes, Pluto and Voyager were built using VPS setups on our VPS3 and VPS4 servers, as they have small numbers of clients on them compared to Mars, earth, venus, jupiter, saturn, neptune etc. We're just consolidating Pluto and Voyager into Shadow.

Pluto and Voyager are being assimilated by shadow.

Can not run php now. I have .htaccess file that has the following in
AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php .htm
php_flag magic_quotes_gpc off
php_flag short_open_tag off

Are these relevant anymore on the new server? I run .htm through the php processor as some html pages have php with in them.

Also, my Cron jobs are missing

Chnage the line

AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php .htm

to

AddType application/x-httpd-php .htm

The server already has php5 as the default.

If there are any issues, log a ticket with the details.
