Thank you I will try.
I have also noticed that my SpamAssign user_prefs file is not being read as I have suddenly received spam. Now the subject line is not being changed according to user_prefs. In the config file I rewrite the subject as [SPAM_HITS] and then I have account level filters that work on that header and if over 10 delete the spam. I also have email clients that have mail fileters that work with the modified subject line. As all Spam is now being rewritten as ***SPAM*** See below for example Spam X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=18.0 X-Spam-Score: 180 X-Spam-Bar: ++++++++++++++++++ X-Spam-Report: Spam detection software, running on the system "shadow.dotcolo.com", has identified this incoming email as possible spam. OK, removing the AddType entry worked and go some sites working hoever some site have embedded php code within the htm and still need nunning through the php processor.
What now needs to go into the .htaccess file? I have tried AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .htm but this does not work. Help Wish there was a heads up about these changes and things that might break. I can not believe that I am the only one effected. Also to confirm in my previous post the spamassign problem happens on other domains (ie customers) within my account.

With all due respect to the dotable team -
Would it be possible to give us a bit more notice via EMAIL when these changes are going to be made? I have accounts on two different servers that were changed over and the first time, I only got an email a few hours before the change. This time, I only got an email after the change had already been made. This makes things especially difficult when you have clients who manage their own DNS. I have gotten quite a few angry emails from customers after these server changes, after their site suddenly drops offline. I realize that you post this stuff a bit earlier on your forums, but quite honestly, I don't have time to read through the dotable forums every single day. When information like this is SO important, couldn't it be emailed to customers who will be effected? Seems like it would be simple enough to set up PHPlist with a list of customers on each server, then do a mass mailing as soon as something like this comes up. I've really enjoyed my hosting experience with dotable and everything else runs great, but this "notification system" really seems to need an overhaul. |

Spider,
You should subscribe to the forums specific to the servers your accounts are on and specify instant email notification. I believe this is mentioned somewhere in the Knowledge base as the best way to keep up on any announcements regarding your server.

Yes, thats how our support system works and the details came in the welcome email. All announcements and support per server for outages etc are all relayed in each servers forum - that's our mailing list

Thanks for the tip Dave and Steve. Very helpful!
Steve- I've been a member since 2006 and apparently you weren't mentioning this in the welcome email then. Neither of my welcome emails(I still have 'em) mention subscribing to the server forum for important announcements, nor do they have the link that you provided above. Either way, now that I know, I'll set it up. |

Steve has now fixed the problem I had with user_prefs.
The new server has a global file that it uses and not allows local copies to be used. Steve has fixed it for me to now continue with my local copies. Thanks Also Cron permission has been reset. Thanks Everything seems OK until the next time
