I know that many people complain, but few give kudos.
The switch from the "old" Dotable to the "new" Dotable contained a lot of pain. We all felt it. We all wondered what happened to the old Dotable we loved. But I want to offer that Dotable is now the best it has ever been, at least for me as a user. The recent server migration from Venus to Blackbird has improved every single aspect of the management of the WordPress blogs I run. How? + Faster + More secure (and with less need for individual tweaking) + Access to php.ini + Improved access to sever-based compression modules And best of all, functions that never worked in the past now do. I used to not be able to export my large blogs in XML; the files never downloaded. And there was nothing anyone could do about it. Now I can run exports with no problems. I can now move ahead with upgrading my blogs in ways I simply could not previously. In short, everything related to server functionality has been dramatically improved for me. I spend less time massaging my sites and feel better about their management. Thanks, Dotable. Slowly and surely, you are moving us all in the right direction.

Edelen,
I'm glad your sites are improved with the migration. Myself, Eugene and Matt Berry have been working around the clock on fixing all past issues with the migration. As well as working on what we can improve on for future migrations. Thanks for your post. |
