I've run a very small website for many years, and recently started "hosting" sites for family. I know very little about the technical side of hosting, I just need everything to work.

In April '05, I tried to upgrade my blog and

disaster!! I screwed it all up. My then-host declined to help, and as we needed more disk space anyway, I started shopping around for a new host.

Aussie Bob was the only host to agree to help restore my database. Bad news: ultimately it was determined that the database was corrupt. But the good news was that dotable.com gave a heroic effort to help out!
Emails zipped back and forth for about 20 hours, and even though it had to be rebuilt manually, I was more than satisfied that everything that *could* have been done was tried.

Since then, I've never noticed any issues or downtime.

After 8 other hosts, I'm confident *this* is the last host we'll ever need to shop for

Just updating the thread

10 months and still going strong!

Could not be happier with the service, no exaggeration!

I've had past hosts that have shut down halfway thru a year's subscription, hosts that have "stolen" money, and others hosts who've done the barest minimum in uptime & support.

Dotable is a bright spark in an often overwhelming industry.
