Default [Resolved] Jupiter Reboot

Jupiter services have failed and the server is going to be rebooted.

The server is going to be attended to by the dc techs, as it's not coming back up from reboot.

More details will follow.

Whenever it's up again I think it is time for a thorough investigation what [removed] is wrong with that server.
We don't know what happened yesterday and now, 24 hours later it's down again.
An uptime of 99.46 % since April is not very impressive at all
The status page says it's up by the way..

Is it a coincidence that this is happening at the same time as yesterday? This is not good.

We are going to have to get good answers to the Jupiter issues or we should be migrated to another server. I still haven't seen a post explaining the start of yesterday's events -- IOW, why did Apache "drop out" at the beginning of the troubles?

BTW, shouldn't this thread be in the Jupiter Announcements forum?

I'm with you Dave, on all three questions.

Of course it says it is up. That problem was observed yesterday for the first time and there has been no time to investigate it.

BTW, you and I said the same thing -- get to the bottom of the issues with this server!

The resellers on Jupiter are owed a thorough investigation.

I have four reseller accounts and this one has the worst uptime by miles. Even the 5 Dollar account I have elsewhere is miles ahead in uptime. I've had jupiter monitored since May 30th and we are currently at 18 hours downtime and counting.
