Just make sure the DC techs know that Jupiter refers to the new hardware and not the old. I remember a time when an on-site tech kept rebooting someone else's server because it was labeled incorrectly.

About the migration to the new server - is any action required by the users?
When is this going to be done? Is any downtime going to be involved?

I'm preparing a new server and moving all data to that server.

The switch over will take place later today.

Things to note.

1. Servers hostname will remain Jupiter
2. IP's will remain the same as they are now.
3. FTP service will be turned off approximately 30 minutes before switching to the new server. Data will be resync'd again at that time.
4. MySQL , postgres, will be shut down for a few minutes, to rsync the mysql data to the new server, prior to the switch.
5. The server will be rebooted in order to complete the move.

I'll open a new announcement thread in the Jupiter forum, before this takes place.
