I'm not saying here at Dotable necessarily. I just mean in the industry as a whole.

LOL. You are such a positive person Gerrit. I didn't see that in the update but I guess you could read in between the lines

I'm just trying to keep a good mood here, Dave. All of myclients are informed, I told we're working on it and things will be good soon. For one I'm glad the offices are about to close.
We'll be up and running soon.

This is embarrassing to say the least. Jupiter is in the cabinet, but probably not labelled since it was swapped from the old 4U server to the new 2U server. This would explain why we couldn't reboot it from our remote reboot, so it's kind of good news. Just have to find the server and get it rebooted.

Sorry about this folks.

That's the attitude Gerrit! That's my approach in instances such as this.

Keep your clients up to date and they'll be happy. In my 5yrs as a host, fast communication during outages will keep folks pretty calm. It's when clients don't know what's happening, and there's no communication, that they get irate.

Just wondering, Bob? Are you talking to the guy/girl who is physically at the Dotable cabinet? You don't have too many servers there, right? At least some of them should be labelled..

That's the only way. I haven't had one angry client on the phone today - I called/emailed them before they could call me and explained that we had a problem and that we're working on it. They all understand that there will be a problem every now and then and if they know there's a problem and we're taking care of it, they're OK with it.
