R1Soft CDP Solution is a server software application that enables disk-based data protection and disaster recovery for linux servers and workstations running Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. CDP Server protects disk volume data using synchronization over the network storing point-in-time snapshots in disk-based storage.

Dotable takes this technology, and makes it available to everyone with their own dedicated server without the need to invest in any hardware or additional software! We manage the backups 100% - so you can feel secure knowing you are using the best in backup technologies. You will need your own dedicated server or VPS to use our backup service.

• How long does it take for this to be setup?

Setup is usually done within 24 business hours. Once it is setup on our end you will be sent instructions on how to configure your server.

• Who can use this backup service?

You must have a dedicated server or a VPS with full root access, to use the Dotable DCP service.

• Can I use one Dotable Backup account for multiple servers to backup?

Yes, you can backup as many servers as you would like in your allocated space.

• Do I have access to a control panel with this service?

Yes, this is how you setup the servers for backup.

• How often can I backup?

Default is daily, however we do offer hourly if you wish at an additional charge. Please note that for anything above daily you server must be on at least a 100mbit port.

• Where are the backups located at?

They are all located in our Dallas, TX Datacenter.
