Migration test - Dotable

Hello...

If I switch to Dotable, is it possible to test the migration to ensure that everything is working before I have the DNS pointers actually point to your servers?

The way I did that on a few domains was to change my local hosts file to point to the dotable server instead of getting the DNS information on the internet. This allowed me to test each domain before changing my nameservers to point to dotable.

Yes, there's that or you can view your sites prior to propagation with http://serverIP/~username/

Except that doesn't work too well when you are checking your scripts (like forms) that check the referrer for a valid source.

Yep, that's true Dave. Your method would be the most complete, at testing domains prior to propagation.
