Default Totally lost

Hello. I sent a mail to the sales department asking advice on a plan. I was sent an immediate computer generated reply with a link to a ticket number. When the link is clicked, it takes you to a page requiring Log In details ... mail a/c and password. No password was given in the computer generated reply ... just the ticket number. So, I figured I needed to join these forums to set a password. That's a good trick in itself ... trying to join these forums ... there is no "Register" button on the page ... you just have to find the registration console using blind luck. Anyway ... the password for these forums will still not allow login to see the ticket. Can someone please steer me to where I can establish this required password. Any help would be appreciated. Highest regards ... JackD

I think you sent an email and you got reply from helpdesk ( which yo u cant login now ), you cant login there since i think the accounts are created upon your payment for chosen plan. i think you should still receive reply email after someone responds to your message.

Thanks a million for the quick reply Ergo. Yep ... you are correct. I never saw it because I was launched into the forums by a link from Whirlpool, and I was looking for a Register link from inside, instead of from the Forum Index. I still don't know how I finally found the Registration console.

No problems regarding the query then. I was just worried that all the communications regarding it might be done from within the ticket rather than by e-mail. I shall just wait a day or so, and if I've heard nothing further, I'll post back here. Your help is truly appreciated. Highest regards, JackD.

Username/Password for the forums is different than the authorization codes needed for the support desk. It seems odd that a sales query would result in a support ticket when you are not yet a customer with access to the support system. Was your email addressed to support@dotable.com or sales@dotable.com?

All emails to sales@... result in a ticket being formed on the Dotable helpdesk. I couldn't keep track of sales enquiries if they were just email only.

Peter, I've replied to your email.

That makes sense. What doesn't seem to make sense is to give them a link to the helpdesk in a reply email when they don't yet have a way to log into the helpdesk.

They can log into the helpdesk to view that ticket if they want using the email address and the key generated with that ticket. It's just how Kayako's eSupport works.
