The SD accounts do not come with a dedicated IP address, unless the site needs an SSL.

I should have said why. We were offerring the SD accounts with a dedicated IP, then Steve saw that and roused on me. Words were exchanged, hands were placed on hips, and I then removed the dedicated IP from that page.

We need to be more careful in the use of dedicated IPs, and the SD accounts did not justify good use, unless a client needs an SSL installed etc.

Yeah, as Bob mentioned, we can't allocate IP's where they aren't required (you can get IP's for SSL certs).

Bob sells accounts and I manage IP allocations with Arin and our providers, Bob never sees my side, so I am always the baddie

When IPV6 is implemented on a global scale, maybe we'll be able to be free and dish out ip's like they used to be able to, buy a /24 here and there... until that day (which I estimate will take about 20 years to implement IPV6 on a large, global scale, we're stuck with it.

Inspectors hat off.

hehe, didn't mean to dump Steve in it.

I've done 2 of those IP justification forms, when requesting more IPs, and they're not fun. Glad Steve manages all that.
