Yup, of course not.
But there really isn't any way to check whether a site is going to rank well or not for their keywords. So, we are left with PR. It tells us at least the site has a significant number of backlinks.

I'll never pretend to understand Google and how she does what she does, but the more incoming links the better, in my books. It's not something I've been focussed on, for the last 4 yrs or so. I've really taken my eye off that ball, as it didn't seem to matter - and I'm not focussed on it now either. Maybe one day I'll take an SEO refresher course.

I thought you were going to keep Dotable out of the search engines Rob, to protect resellers anonymity. Or am I mistaken? If so, you shouldn't have a page rank should you?

I kept HTTPme out of the search engines (Justin thought I was nuts ) but not Dotable. HTTPme was for resellers primarily, but the vast majority of Dotable's clients aren't resellers, but end users. I can't remember ever saying that Dotable will be kept out of the search engines, as that would hurt Dotable's growth. I do remember saying we'd replace certian server names with an image, so as not to index those keywords.
