I have a wierd issue with my mouse. I run a 1600x1200 screen (24" LCD) and have 4 x 800x600 windows open at once on the screen. It's like having 4 monitors, but they're just different browser/app windows. Now I've moved everything accross to my new PC, and here's the issue -
Before if I moved my mouse between windows, I could scroll on that browser window, without having to left click over that window. Now I have to left click over the window, before the mouse will engage that browser window. It's so annoying, having to left click over a browser window, to use the mouse there. I've tried difference mice, and they all work the same, as in they all need you to left click over a browser window, to work in that window. My other PC doesn't need you to left click over a browser window, in order to use the mouse there. You can go from window to window with your mouse, and use the mouse over each browser window, without having to left click over that browser window. Windows XP and IE 7 on both PCs. What am I missing? Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be activated? It works on one machine but not this other, and it's driving me nuts. Many thanks if you can help.

hey bob,
the only way I know to do this is with the "microsoft powertoy" Tweak UI: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx maybe others xp tweakers do it too or editing some key in win registry. I hope this will be useful. |

Thanks for that. I'll double check the drivers and I like the look of some of those MS tweaks.
