I am as any httpme converts will know am into the world wars in a big way.
I am looking to setup a new site called ww2news.com On that site it will have the news headlines from each day of the way across the world from 1939 - to about October 1946, maybe 47. I have looked at various news packages that I could use, one I really liked was phpcow.com however the problem is that I want to be able to enter the article dates authentically, that is if the article was originally 23rd June 1941 then thats the date I want to show up. Unix however wont recognise dates that far back! Anyone got any suggestions to get around that problem? Lee |

If you're a php coder you could always alter the database fields from date format or timestamp that they are currently to just plain VARCHAR, then alter the scripts accordingly so that they don't automatically try to enter a date/time.
