![]() Hardware raid with the 3 sata drives in a Raid 1 config. Performance yes is improved over reading and writing from a single disk, and there's the peace in knowing that if a single drive fails, the server can still function. Drives 1 and 2 are mirrored and drive 3 is a backup of drive 1.

I've always thought raid1 gave a bit of a lift in the reading and writing speeds etc. These SATA drives are great for that, over standard drives.
![]() Hardware raid is superior, imo, but I imagine there would be some who would disagree with that. Each to his own.
