Default Calling all iPhone users

You have a new convert! Yes, me!

Gosh, this device is incredible. I'll call it a device because it's soooooo much more than a phone/pda. Light years ahead of my previous phone/pda, which was the i-mate JasJam. The iTunes App store is amazing. Soooooo much developer support for Apps. I'm so impressed. New favorite game now is Fieldrunners. I'm having trouble keeping that game away from the Mrs and the kids too!

The iPhone is just so smart and simple. Someone finally nailed the phone/mp3 player/pda combo, and it took the smart folks at Apple to do this. I like when I'm riding along on my bike listening to some music, and then I get a phone call - so the music cuts out and one click of the mic and I receive the call. When the call's finished, the music comes back. Gosh that's a great feature. Very intuitive.

Oh and Josh, I'm thinking about getting a Mac now too.

An iPhone isn't on the cards for me, not the way they are now, but I sure do love my Mac! I currently have a white Macbook (about a year old) but will be upgrading to a new one early next year. They aren't always without their faults but they pretty darned snazzy!

Did you hear the news that next years Macworld will be the last that Apple attends? I was shocked by that, but even more shocked that Steve Jobs will not be giving the keynote! Despite Apple claiming otherwise, I think Jobs isn't doing well health-wise.

I've been a PC user for around 20 years but switched to a Mac this year and there has been no looking back. I just love the way I can use the thing to get on with my job spending much less time configuring/updating etc.

Following the switch to the Mac I bought an iPhone and agree fully with your comments Bob. They are so rich in functionality but a pleasure to use. In addition to the great app store, its also good as they update the operating system on a regular basis through a pain free upgrade process so it just gets better and better!

Yeah, probably his pancreatic cancer issue. Poor bugger.

I find the keyboard very difficult to use accurately. I also don't like the fact that there's no low-resolution camera on the front of the iPhone for video conferencing.

I am an iPhone user wannabe... They are only sold for the AT&T network in this country and I live outside of their market Now, if I could get an unlocked phone for a reasonable price...

I am also planning to get a Mac this year. Unfortunately, because of my day job, I am unable to "convert" to a Mac for everything. I doubt I could do Windows software development very well on a Mac.

I figured VMWare had a solution. That would work most of the time. I did have a problem with VMWare on a Windows host once where I was developing a hardware driver for another OS (QNX) and VMWare wouldn't emulate the hardware properly. Microsoft VirtualPC didn't do the job either

But most of my development activity is at a higher level which should work well in a virtual environment.

Windows can be installed alongside OS X Dave, then you use Bootcamp and boot into whichever OS you want.
