Maybe there's a new thread timeout setting in VB admin?

I can't see anything like that, but I do tend to get lost in VB's admin. If anyone knows if there is such a setting, let me know.

mylinear, it would be helpful to know what browser and OS you are using.

I've just ran some tests with Opera and Firefox and the problem is only occuring with Safari.

Something I have noticed though when testing with the other browsers is that the live chat is no longer visible (previously it didn't show in Safari, but did with Firefox and Opera) - now there's nothing on any browser.

Do you still have the live chat Rob?

Yeah, still have the live chat, but it's not on now though. It hasn't been active for a while now. It's mainly a sales tool, and with me in Sydney, it wasn't used.

But is the link to it (or graphic or whatever it is you use at the top of the page) still visible?

It's not that I can't use it because it's off, I can't actually see any indication that you even have it.

If live chat is off, the live chat icon doesn't show. It only shows when it's on.

ok - so that may be still working in other browsers then.

I'd love to find out what's up with VB new post markings though. I've been searching the net but can't see anything. According to the VB development team one of their test browsers is Safari on a Mac so if this was a bug you'd expect it would have been noticed by them or at least reported by other customers/users.

I'm starting to think it's a local problem - something in the settings here.

Another stupid thing is when I make a reply to a thread, I am redirected back to my reply - that's fine and what I want. But, with that thread, the new post indicator stays on (shows a new post, with me as the author and doesn't 'time out' like the others do )

Yeah, it's all working like it should in FF and IE. I can't replicate this issue at all.

The problem is definately local to this installation of VB. I have been to several other forums I visit occasionally, all running the same version* of VB and the problem doesn't exist.

*Correction - 1 is running the same version, 2 are running 3.6.8 (current)
