Didn't get that email either, sorry.

Volatility aside, when paying in one currency the volatility is not an issue until you are forced to pay in another. I joined because I could pay in Aussie dollars. An Aussie dollar is worth an exactly $1AU, regardless of where the international markets are moving. Being forced to pay in another currency makes this far less appealing. If I wanted to pay in US dollars there are thousands of other hosts out there.

Does subscribing to the forum send an email notice or does it just tell you that there is a new unspecified post in the forum?

Sorry, meant to say that I am still subscribed to the server forums for my server which was Pluto but is now shadow.

Nathan, You get an email like this
Subject: Subscribed Forum Notification (Shadow Server Announcements)

It depends on how you subscribe. I recommend clicking the "thread tools->subscribe" link for each forum you want to monitor. When you do so, you will be given the choice to choose instant email, or daily or weekly digest.

To all above. Guys! Somehow we do need a software at dotable which will send info about special events(change of ownership, etc) to our INBOX, not to junkbox as any bboard software does. Relying on bboard(vBulletin) script is just not ON. Not good enough, Dotable, your clients just simply do not get the stuff you may trying to expose.! Modernbill was Ok?

Whether an email that is sent from the forum goes to your Inbox or to your Junk mail or Spam folder, is out of our control. All Dotable clients were emailed of the above change of ownership announcement, pointing to this thread for discussion. You'd be amazed at how many of those emails didn't get received, being sent from the new billing system.

I will be using Mailchimp for all future mass mailouts actually, so this should fix this issue.

I don't think that email is the right way to go - you'll probably get exactly the same spam problems.

Most email clients have support for RSS feeds - why not create a feed to the important forums - then people can add them to their emails clients/feed readers with no risk of any spam.

MailChimp actually does very well in this dept - Although I do think I can come up with something to do an RSS Feed + Email using Mailchimp's RSS Feature

Be sure everyone gets every email.

Sounds good - let us know the RSS feed created, so we can hook up to it.
