I think vBulletin forums can be subscribed with RSS, no? It's a feature admin has to enable, I think..

Just received an email that starts with:

Quote:
As many of you know, dotable.com was welcomed into the UK2 Group family back in August of 2008. Over the past few months, we've been in a transition phase with integrating the dotable.com culture into our ecosystem.

Effective immediately, I'd personally like to welcome the new management and tech team which will be in charge of enhancing your experience with Dotable.com.
Does this means that Aussie Bob is now out of dotable?

Quote:
As some of you are aware, we faced some critical challenges with Jupiter and ParadiseCity this week. Although service has been restored, the timing and efficiency of the previous administration team was not enough to cope with these problems. That being said, effective immediately, our new team will be taking over and offering true 24/7 around the clock support.

With the announcement of today (Friday Jan 09) it does seem that Aussie Bob is no longer in the Dotable Team, infact even the new boys who have come here in the last few months ( Billy and Nick) look like they are no longer part of the setup either unless of course the announcement is incorrect.

I was just getting use to Billy and Nick.

Default What to say

Three years ago, I transferred from a good hosting provider that cashed. The new management made a mess out of it and I left. Three years at dotable was a completely new experience. I did not know hosting like this still existed. Untill the owners cashed, a new management came in and, lo and behold, the new management succeeded to make a mess of it. Now a solution has been found: a newer management. I wish you good luck.
I hope that Aussie Bob starts somewhere a new hosting company then I will be safe for the next three years. Untill he cashes again, of course.
By the way, Aussie Bob, no hard feelings. I like what you did before.

Sean,

I doubt they are all dedicated to Dotable alone. There's a whole load of "managers" there (almost as many as tech staff)

Still, I've left (or I will have when they get around to processing my refund, whenever that is) so it doesn't affect me.

Hey guys -

It's true that we are not 100% dedicated to dotable, but we have the staff to offer you around the clock service that is not outsourced.

While most of you can't see the benefits yet, understandably so, I assure you that we'll pull through.

Marc

well, if they've succeeded in "integrating the dotable.com culture into our ecosystem" I'd expect to get (asap) some more information about all this from the new management team, replying directly into this forum thread!!

was very happy with the work Aussie Bob has done and I want to thank him for that; I wish to the new team to have the same success and to keep the service at the same quality that Bob did.

I'm just a bit disappointed as the problems seems to happen more frequently now and also cause I've understood that Aussie Bob would anyway stayed in his place as a manager so that Dotable won't had lost its identity... but now only the time can tell, and I'm not going to wait too much so I hope things will go better again from now cause I'm already looking for alternatives.

bye,
Giovanni.

p.s.
saw that in the meantime Marc Bollinger replied. I'd like to have some more confirm about the Aussie Bob role too and I hope that we'll soon see the benefits you're talking about

Marc,

Can you clarify whether Billy is still with dotable or not?

Thanks
