Default Internet Speed test

Well, this is sort of a toy, but good thing to place on your board, if you have one, people usually try to beat each other, than remember where they have had fun.

Here it is my results from New Zealand.

Results from my UK based ISP.

Strange indeed - got best download speed going across the Atlantic to New York?! Good speed to Moscow - awful to Auckland tho

Hmm... Other day I thought that is something wrong with Auckland <-> Moscow, but today is a same story

Your probably having to take a lot of hops to this location due to the vast physical distance - it's also not like my UK to New York connection speed, that's most likely a direct connection, you won't have the same from Auckland to Moscow.

Don't really think it's anything to worry about though.

Never mind RuKiwi. I have a 30 MB FTTH (Fiber To The Home) with unlimited download/upload @ around US$40 per month. But you can access to Moscow better than me. See below.

That's a crazy price! I'm paying more than that for an 8Mb ADSL line with a 20Gb per month cap! And because I'm farther from the exchange, I only really get 5 - 6Mb speed.

Yes, internet access cost here is the cheapest in the world, I think. The others are high though...

Got comcast's highest offering in my area. Downloads are wicked fast but not as cheap as some FDDI to the curb offerings around here (unfortunately not in my area = (
