Default Whmcs

Just started playing around with the trial version of WHMCS. I was a little skeptical of this package, being that it`s coming out of development.

However after running the full trial, I am extremely impressed by this `all in one` billing, invoicing and helpdesk script. Very easy to configure and install, very pleasing to look at both admin and client end etc etc.

I`ve been using Clientexec for quite some time, but I`ve now decided to switch over.

Might be worth a look at if you`re looking for a CE alternative. I`m paying $10 from a reseller for the leased monthly license.

Mmmm, I wonder if Bob could work miracles with them and offer the license as a paid Addon

Bob,

Another interest of mine. I have been fighting clientexec. And, wondering about a different one. I will do a search for this and give it a whirl too.

What did you like over CE? What made you make the move to a different one?

Pretty much everything. I was a big fan of Clientexec, but it wasn`t long before whmcs won me over.

The helpdesk/knowledgebase is the biggest plus for me. While CE does offer a support desk of sorts, it is rather basic by comparison.

I`ve also been watching the resource usage when this script was in operation, it seems considerably lighter to use than CE. There`s a lot less javascript etc.

I sounds like a salesman. Sorry, that`s not my intent

Don't apologize. It's very helpfull. I was just trying their Demo and noticed that it is a lot faster than CE. I too was worried about the resource usage. CE takes forever.

Guess I'll dl their free trial and give it a go.

Yeah, it`s much faster for me. I have it running on a server I ***cough*** host elsewhere. I sent you a PM with a couple of demo links from my site. Rather not post the links here

I've heard some good things about WHMCS, from another host I chat with who uses it. We're not even thinking about switching from MB to WHMCS, but it looks good for any other hosting projects that we embark on down the track.

Yeah, I`m going to see how it develops over the next fews month. If as expected it continues to grow, I`ll buy a full license.

Yup, it's still down for me and has been for quite some time. Not the best of signs but I guess these things happen.

Out of interest, question aimed at Bob, are you integrating this with any domain reseller set-up?
