A bit like how everyone is proud of their hometown -- it's their 'real life' community. You become friends with your neighbors; you help each other with yard work, and so on. With the Dotable community, I think you're paying for the feel. When you're having a scripting problem, your neighbor on the server over might be able to help you out. Or, say you're a reseller host, and you're having trouble doing support for all your customers. Multiple resellers can string together to provide for an excellent quality of hosting. A lot of what I pay for with my Dotable hosting account is the community, and it's because I really enjoy it.
